Sporting Goods National Runners' Month outfits runners with big savings
Pittsburgh,
Pa., May 12, 2010 --
Dick's Sporting Goods National Runners' Month today announced major sales
promotions providing significant deals for runners on shoes, apparel, and
accessories at all 419 Dick's Sporting Goods stores nationwide. All told,
Dicks Sporting Goods is offering a total of approximately $750,000 in gift
cards plus other discounts for runners.
Every
race participant at each of the ten official Dick's Sporting Goods National
Runners' Month events during May and early June will receive a ten-dollar gift
card valid with no minimum purchase at any Dick's Sporting Goods store. An
impressive number of runners will benefit: The ten Dick's Sporting Goods
National Runners' Month events boast a total of approximately 75,000 registered
runners.
All
runners can visit the Dick's Sporting Goods National Runners' Month website, www.nationalrunnersmonth.com, to view the
latest Dick's Deal of the Week. Runners can check back on the page each week
for coupons to print out and use online or at any local Dick's Sporting Goods
store.
For
example, the Dick's Deal of the Week for the week starting May 2, 2010, is a coupon for ten dollars off
any purchase of fifty dollars or more, valid through June 5, 2010.
Runners
can also enter the Dick's Sporting Goods National Runners' Month Photo Contest
on Facebook for a chance to win one of four weekly $100 Dick's Sporting Goods
gift cards. Runners can enter by visiting the Dick's Sporting Goods Facebook page and
uploading or tagging their favorite running photo. Each week in May, one
person will be selected to win the $100 gift certificate and have their photo
featured on the Dick's Sporting Goods National Runners' Month GummyJungle
widget on www.nationalrunnersmonth.com.
And for every photo uploaded or tagged, Dick's Sporting Goods National Runners'
Month will donate one dollar to the Michael J. Fox Foundation's Team Fox to
fight Parkinson's disease.
